Classification

Stars are the symbol used for the facilities the trout lakes can offer visitors. The number of stars that can be awarded ranges from one star – which is the Danish Trout Lakes’ minimum requirement – to five stars. Facilities include service, kiosk, toilet facilities, hygiene, indoor and outdoor stay facilities as well as signs and marketing.
Fir trees are the symbol used for the natural surroundings of the trout lake. Classification ranges from one to five trees, which is the maximum number awarded. Conditions to do with nature include the landscape, shelter from the wind, access and the level of maintenance.
Fishes are the symbol used for the aquatic environment of the trout lake. Classification ranges from one to five fish. Aquatic environment includes the depth of the lake, clarity of the water, oxygen conditions as well as the general conditions for the trout before, during and after having been put out.

Der udsættes kun fisk fra godkendte dambrug. Regnbue-, bæk- og kildeørreder er de mest almindelige ørredarter. Brødding, Tiger- og Sølvørred findes også hos flere af medlemmerne. Fodring af fiskene i ørredsøerne er forbudt. Der er ingen af medlemmerne der fodrer fiskene.
